Shelby Sinclair
Shelby Sinclair, a Treaty 2 member of Pinaymootang First Nation, is an Articling Student at Cochrane Sinclair LLP. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Indigenous Studies and graduated from the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law in 2024. Shelby will be called to the Manitoba Bar in June 2025.
During law school, she worked as a Policy Analyst in the Justice Department at Chiefs of Ontario. Shelby serves as a volunteer on various committees. She held an executive role with the Manitoba Indigenous Law Students’ Association and currently serves as Vice President - First Nations for the National Indigenous Law Students’ Association. Since 2023, Shelby has been an executive member of the Manitoba Bar Association’s Equality Committee. She also represents the Southern region on the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs' Youth Council.
In her free time, Shelby enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and playing pickleball.
