Debbie Buors is a proud Métis woman with deep family roots in St. Laurent, Manitoba, and is an active member of the Manitoba Métis Federation.

After earning her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba in 2003, Debbie joined the Manitoba Prosecutions Service as a Crown Attorney. Over her time there, she became highly skilled in conducting complex trials before both the Provincial Court and the Court of King’s Bench of Manitoba. As a senior Crown Attorney, Debbie developed significant expertise in criminal law, regulatory law, youth criminal justice, and child protection.

Her extensive involvement in the justice system has allowed her to resolve cases professionally and competently, using conflict resolution both inside and outside the courtroom.
