As part of our team spotlight series, we're pleased to introduce Victoria von Sacken Nash, an Articling Student in Cochrane Sinclair's Vancouver office.
Victoria's journey with the firm began as a summer student in 2025, and she has since returned to complete her articles. Throughout her time with Cochrane Sinclair, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to learning, collaboration, and delivering thoughtful legal support across a variety of matters.
A member of the Hupačasath First Nation in Port Alberni, British Columbia, Victoria earned her Juris Doctor with a specialization in Indigenous Legal Studies from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. Before pursuing law, she completed a Bachelor of Business Administration with a joint major in Psychology at Simon Fraser University, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to her legal work.
Since returning to the firm, Victoria has embraced opportunities to work alongside lawyers across practice areas, contributing to legal research, drafting, and client matters while continuing to develop the practical skills that will shape her legal career. Her curiosity, professionalism, and willingness to take on new challenges have already made her a valued member of the Vancouver team.
"Victoria approaches every assignment with genuine curiosity, professionalism, and a strong desire to learn. She's thoughtful in her work, asks insightful questions, and has quickly become someone we can rely on. It's been rewarding to watch her continue to grow as a future lawyer."
- Aaron Christoff, Partner
Victoria's dedication to serving Indigenous communities, combined with her academic achievements and collaborative approach, reflects the values that define Cochrane Sinclair's commitment to developing the next generation of legal professionals.
"From the moment Victoria joined our team, she demonstrated the initiative and character we look for in emerging lawyers. She has embraced every opportunity to learn, contributes positively to our culture, and has a bright future ahead of her. We're proud to support her as she continues her articling journey."

Outside the office, Victoria enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time outdoors. As she continues her articling term, we look forward to supporting her professional growth and celebrating the contributions she will continue to make to our clients, our colleagues, and the communities we serve.
