Cochrane Sinclair congratulates Season Roulette, former associate with the firm, on being elected as Chief of Norway House Cree Nation.

Season practised at Cochrane Sinclair during the early stages of her legal career, where she contributed to work supporting Indigenous Nations and communities across Canada. During her time with the firm, she was known for her thoughtful advocacy, strong connection to community, and commitment to advancing the rights and interests of First Nations.

Her elected role as Chief represents an important moment not only in her professional journey, but also in her continued service to the people of Norway House Cree Nation.

Norway House Cree Nation is one of the largest First Nations in Manitoba, with a long history of leadership, cultural strength, and community governance. As Chief, Season will play a central role in guiding priorities that support community well-being, economic opportunity, and the continued advancement of self-determination.

“Season has always demonstrated a deep commitment to community and leadership,” said Sonny Cochrane (Co-Managing Partner). “During her time with our firm, she brought a strong sense of purpose and advocacy to her work. We are proud to see her step into this role and know she will serve Norway House Cree Nation with integrity, strength, and vision.”

The firm values the relationships it builds with lawyers and leaders who go on to make meaningful contributions in their communities. Season’s appointment reflects the growing number of Indigenous legal professionals whose leadership is shaping governance and policy across Canada.

Cochrane Sinclair extends its sincere congratulations to Chief Roulette and wishes her continued success as she leads Norway House Cree Nation forward.
